1. INTRODUCTION
أكاديمية المعرفة ("we", "our", "us", or the "App") is an educational platform designed for authorized students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected and processed when you use أكاديمية المعرفة, why that information is used, how it is stored, and the services used to provide the application's functionality.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The App may collect and process the following information when necessary to provide its educational services:

• Student academic information
• Grades and examination results
• Attendance records
• Teacher notes and educational information
• Information necessary to provide access to assigned educational content
• Video playback progress stored locally on the user's device
3. ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Users access the App using a phone number and password.
Phone numbers are used as the primary login identifier for user accounts.
Passwords are processed using cryptographic hashing before being stored. The App does not intentionally store users' passwords in plain-text form.
Account information is used to authenticate users and provide access according to their assigned role, such as Student, Parent, or Administrator.
4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use personal information only as necessary to operate and provide the educational services offered through the App.
This includes:
• Creating and managing user accounts
• Authenticating users
• Providing access to assigned educational lessons
• Displaying student information
• Displaying grades and examination results
• Displaying attendance records
• Displaying academic progress
• Allowing authorized parents to review relevant student information
• Allowing authorized administrators to manage educational information
• Displaying teacher notes and other educational information
• Maintaining the functionality and security of the App
• Synchronizing educational information with our cloud database
• Providing and maintaining access to recorded educational content
5. ACADEMIC AND STUDENT INFORMATION
The App may process educational information associated with authorized student accounts, including:
• Student name
• Attendance records
• Grades and examination results
• Academic progress
• Teacher notes
• Enrolment-related information
• Educational content assigned to the student
This information is used to provide educational services and allow authorized users, such as the student, parent, teacher, or administrator, to access the information relevant to their role.
Academic information is not used for advertising or cross-application tracking.
6. VIDEO CONTENT AND PLAYBACK INFORMATION
The App provides recorded educational videos supplied by the teacher or educational provider.
The video content is hosted and delivered through third-party video infrastructure, including Bunny.net and Cloudflare services used by the application.
The application sends the necessary video identifier or playback information required to request and deliver the appropriate video content.
Based on the current application implementation, personal information such as the user's name, phone number, or academic records is not intentionally transmitted to Bunny.net or Cloudflare for video delivery.
Video playback progress, such as the point at which a user stopped watching a lesson, is stored locally on the user's device and is not intentionally transmitted to external video providers.
7. FIREBASE AND CLOUD DATABASE
The App uses Firebase Firestore as its cloud database.
Firestore is used to store and synchronize application information, which may include:
• User account information
• Student information
• Parent-related information
• Administrator information
• Attendance records
• Grades
• Teacher notes
• Video information
• Educational notifications or announcements
Information stored in Firestore is transmitted to Google's Firebase infrastructure using secure network connections.
Firebase is used as a technical infrastructure provider for the application's cloud database functionality.
The App does not use Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics for Firebase.
8. ANALYTICS AND TRACKING
The App does not intentionally use personal information for advertising or cross-application tracking.
The current application implementation does not include Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, advertising SDKs, or dedicated third-party analytics platforms.
The App does not use Apple's AppTrackingTransparency framework or request access to the advertising identifier for tracking purposes.
The App does not intentionally sell personal information to data brokers or use personal information for targeted advertising.
If analytics, advertising, or tracking functionality is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy and the applicable privacy disclosures will be updated as required.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses certain third-party services to provide its core functionality.
Firebase / Google
Firebase Firestore is used as the application's cloud database infrastructure.
Bunny.net / Cloudflare
Bunny.net and/or Cloudflare infrastructure is used to host and deliver recorded educational video content.
These service providers process information only as necessary to provide the technical services used by the App, subject to their own privacy practices and applicable laws.
10. DATA SHARING
We do not sell users' personal information.
Personal information may be transmitted to technical service providers when necessary to operate the App, including cloud database and video delivery infrastructure.
We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of users, the educational provider, or the App.
We do not intentionally share student information with advertisers or data brokers.
11. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Account credentials are processed using cryptographic hashing.
Cloud-based application information is stored using Firebase Firestore infrastructure and transmitted using secure network connections.
However, no electronic storage system or method of transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as it is necessary to:
• Provide the educational services
• Maintain the user's account
• Maintain academic records
• Operate and secure the App
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
When information is no longer necessary for these purposes, we may delete or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
13. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information by contacting the application administrator or the educational provider responsible for their account.
A deletion request should contain sufficient information to identify the relevant account.
After receiving a valid deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete the applicable account and associated personal information, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain by law or for legitimate operational or security purposes.
14. CHILDREN AND STUDENT PRIVACY
أكاديمية المعرفة is an educational platform that may be used by school students, including students who may be under the age of 18.
Access to the platform is controlled by the educational provider, and accounts are provided to authorized users.
The App does not intentionally use student information for advertising or cross-application tracking.
Student information is used to provide educational services, including access to lessons, grades, attendance, and academic progress.
Parents and authorized educational providers may contact the application administrator regarding student information or requests for deletion.
15. USER RIGHTS
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights concerning their personal information, including:
• Requesting access to personal information
• Requesting correction of inaccurate information
• Requesting deletion of personal information
• Requesting information about how personal information is used
• Requesting information about applicable third-party service providers
• Exercising other rights available under applicable privacy laws
Requests may be submitted to the application administrator or the educational provider responsible for the user's account.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our services, applicable laws, or our data practices.
When changes are made, the updated version will be published at this location and the "Last Updated" date will be revised.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
