Small Groups

Fellowship Groups

We place a really high value on our members belonging to a small group.

It can seem easy to be lost in the crowd in our main meetings. In small groups, we can get to know other members of the church and belong to a "family" within the larger church family. They are a place to belong, to make friends, to contribute, serve and encourage others and to grow spiritually.

Small groups meet in homes and take place weekly or fortnightly. Contact the Vicar or one of our pastoral team to find the right group for you.

Pastoral Care

All Saints' aspires to be a caring church, where people are accepted for who they are and are supported in their journey of faith.

From our experience, a great deal of our pastoral care happens naturally and quietly as members of the church seek to support and encourage each other. This may be at church, in the community, or in one of our fellowship groups.

At times, however, additional care is required and at All Saints' we have a team of trained Pastoral Carers who are available to visit, listen to and pray with you. If you would like to be put in touch with a Pastoral Carer, please contact one of the clergy at or 01782 750205.

The Alpha Course

What is Alpha?

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It's relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun. There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.

Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile. And it's supported by all the main Christian denominations.

What's involved?

The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how do I pray?'

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for everyone, especially:

  • Those wanting to investigate Christianity

  • New Christians

  • Newcomers to the church

  • Those who want to brush up on the basics

When will it take place?

We regularly run Alpha Courses. For details, please contact 01782 750205.
