Before coming to California, Alec served as Campaign Manager and Communications Director for Washington, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty. In this role he supervised a communications and policy staff of over 40 employees and developed and executed all plans and strategic communications and marketing. Prior to joining Mayor Fenty, Alec served as Chief of staff for Phil Mendelson, Chairman of the Washington, D.C. City Council.
