earing bowl

For this project i decided to throw a small bowl designed to hold earings.

This project was pretty simple. I did run into a few obstacles with trying to carve the bowl correctly and trimming the bottom of it. Other than that the project was fun and the design I have planned will look good.

Pumpkin Sculpture

FOr this project i decided to hand build a festive pumpkin for halloween.

This project was a lot more difficult than any project I've done before. I had to make sure the pumpkin looked somewhat realistic and had texture to it. I also had to be precise with the painting, add realistic features to the pumpkin, such as leaves or vines, and make sure that I wasn't making it too heavy. Overall it turned out okay for my first hard project this year.

Fall Coffee Mug

For this project i had thrown a small mug meant to hold coffee with a fall theme to it.

This project was very fun to do. I struggled with making the mug taller so now it can only hold so much coffee. Also I could have spent a lot more time on the handle. Other than that, the shape of the mug turned out very well, along with the design. I also added some black splotches of paint to make the orange mug seem less boring. Overall this project could've been better, but I learned from my mistakes and will work on an even better coffee mug.

Night and Day Tea Pot

For this project I had created a bigger than usual Tea Pot and designed one side to represent the night time, while the other side represents the day time.

This project was way out of my comfort zone. To begin with, I had never made a tea pot before and the fact that I was making it bigger than a usual tea pot size was nerve racking. But I loved the results. For not ever making something as big as this I am so proud of the out come. My favorite design on this pot are the butterflies giving the fade effect. Something I can improve on in the future is making sure my pot stays wet because it did start to dry up and leave many cracks. Overall this project turned out very nice.

Abstract Tea Pot

For my next project I want to continue on the path of creating tea pots. I want to make this tea pot more abstract looking with different shapes and sizes of the sculpture and design of the tea pot.

Strawberry Tea Pot

For this project I wanted to make a spring themed tea pot. The one thing that reminds me of spring are strawberries. This project was pretty tricky making the round shape for the tea pot. The strawberry design was also pretty tricky but overall this turned out really good.

Coral Reef

For this project I wanted to make a decorative piece to keep in my room. I love the ocean so my main inspiration was that. It was a difficult piece to not only make but paint. Overall it was a very cool experience and it turned out very well.
