REMEDIATION MANUAL REVIEW CHECKLIST

GENERAL:

• Client: Double check Client/project name

• Location: Double check project location (city, state) 

• Date: proper date (and issue/release name)

• Cover sheet: triple check client, location, date

DRAWINGS AND DETAILS:

• Drawing index — check against drawings (title and number) 

• Proper @ date

• Scale: everything to scale relative to everything else

• Caulk/sealant is darker hatch than backer rod and proper shape and size.

• Layering clear and properly sequenced.

• Flashing darker lineweight than moisture barrier. 

• Flashing sloped with end dams

• Window head flashing extends beyond jamb through vertical trim or to corner (if applies)

• Casing at windows properly aligned. Wall trim over jamb.

• Vent penetration detail not dryer, verify isometric drawing with small lower fin, no head flashing 

• High temperature vent penetration detail (Fireplace/water heater/furnace)

• Door details (no nailing fin)

• No cant strip at deck (so the door sill pan can go straight down) 

• Stucco joints (horizontal expansion continuous, vertical broken) 

• Door pan sill 2" min horizontal leg

• Show trim at top of siding flat against wall, not against soffit

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Table of contents/ index — Check all Sections are included.

• Clean before reinstalling miscellaneous fixtures (e.g. light fixtures). 

• Buildings with flat roofs. Note to re-side anything at roof level.

• Cross-referencing — Check all “Related Sections” are included.

• Warrantees — defined for related section.

• 07460 f-c siding Warrantee — number of years (50 adds cost).

• 07920 caulk Backer rod — should be “soft type which combines the best of closed and open cell.”

• 07920 caulk Sika has trouble with UV — should be restrict to applications that will not be exposed to UV.

• 08 Windows — do not ask for installation instructions or details as these are covered in our details and the manufacturer's recommendations may contradict ours.

• 08 Windows — replacement criteria.

• 09225 stucco — Drainage mat included, vertical joints shall be broken at horizontal expansion joints.
