Frequent Transit Definition

"Transit service, frequent" means transit service headways in at least one direction of 15 minutes or less for at least 12 hours per day, 6 days per week, and transit service headways of 30 minutes or less for at least 18 hours every day.

• Hours meeting 'frequency' don't need to be contiguous
• Note that headways must be calculated from a single bus stop (headways from nearby bus stops cannot be added together) although multiple bus lines can be used.

2. Transit reduction

a. In multifamily and commercial zones, the minimum parking requirement for all uses is reduced by 50 percent if the use is located within 1,320 feet of a street with frequent transit service. This distance will be the walking distance measured from the nearest transit stop to the lot line of the lot containing the use.
