***Anybody can print black and white at any time. However, we have added codes for each person to use when printing color copies.
Your email address should be available in the copier as a destination for your scanned document – scan your document and it will get sent to your email
Your Department ID Code was emailed to you by Shawn Looney or Micah Loffer. Search your email.
(this code is unique to you, so please do not share it. You are responsible for all copies made with this code)
- Enable “Set User Information(L)” and click the “Settings(W)..” button. Make sure your name is correct here under “User Name”. Your print jobs will be identified on the printer using this name. Optionally, you can add a PIN here to use for secure printing that will allow you to delay printing of confidential documents until you are standing at the printer.
- Under “User Management (J)”, select “Department ID Management” and go into “Settings…”. In the Settings dialog, you can enter your Department ID code so it will be filled in automatically for you when printing color documents. Also, you can enable the option to “Do Not Use Department ID Management When B&W Printing” to prevent being prompted for your ID when printing in B&W.
That’s it. Now, try to print in B&W. It should print without any prompt for your ID. Next, try to print a color document. You will be prompted for a Department ID. Just enter the Department ID (if it’s not already filled in). No PIN is required.
