How to Receive Jesus
Understand the gospel. Respond in faith. Begin a life with Jesus.

Jesus came because we have a problem we cannot solve ourselves.
We have sinned and are separated from God.
Jesus died in our place and rose again so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to God.
Salvation is God's gift of grace. We receive that gift by turning to Jesus and trusting Him.
How do I receive Jesus?
A
Admit
I admit I've sinned and lived apart from God.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Rom 3:23
B
Believe
I believe Jesus died for my sins, rose again, and I trust Him alone as Savior and Lord.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:9–10
C
Choose
I choose to repent - to turn away from sin and turn toward God.
Godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation. 2 Cor 7:10
D
Disciple
I am signing up for a lifetime of following Jesus starting today.
If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23
Here's a simple way to think it through. These aren't four separate hoops to clear — they're four facets of one act of faith.
Admit - This is the "light bulb" turning on — you realize you need to be saved.
Believe - is your trust shifting away from anything else (good works, church attendance, your own track record) and resting only on what Christ accomplished in His death, burial and resurrection.
Choose - is the step that moves you from "I know this is true" to "I'm doing something about it."
Disciple - you're not just praying a prayer, you're signing up to spend the rest of your life in knowing and following Jesus.
Pray to Him now (prayer is not what saves, but expresses your heart): “Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and lived apart from You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again from the dead. I confess You as Lord, and I receive You as my Savior. I choose to turn from my old life and follow You. I am ready to be Your disciple and learn to follow You every day. I surrender my life to You—lead me from this day forward. Amen.”
If you prayed to receive Jesus -- This is the first step in a lifelong journey! Take the next step in following Him!
