New Zealand All Blacks
The All Blacks probably aren’t as invincible as they were a few years ago, but they are still clearly the best side in world Rugby and go into this, the Bledisloe Cup and indeed the World Cup as overwhelming favourites. Steve Hansen has picked a strong 39 man squad for the Rugby Championship and it’ll be interesting to see how he manages the team given several players will have played in the Super Rugby Final and will more than likely be bruised and battered, so team management will be critical, especially when they take on South Africa and Australia later on in the Championship.
South Africa Springboks
The former World Cup winners aren’t the force they once were but their best is good enough to challenge any team, and it’ll be interesting to see what they do with their Squad for the Rugby Championship. In recent years, the Springboks haven’t been the dominant team in this tournament, and it’s generally been a battle for second between Australia and South Africa, but the South African teams played pretty well throughout the Super Rugby season, so that will give Springbroks fans hope leading in. After the conclusion of the Championship, all eyes will be on the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
