This Privacy Policy explains what data the "All Job Form Auto Filler AI" Chrome extension (the "Extension") accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the practices described below.
1. What the Extension does
The Extension helps you fill out online job-application forms automatically. You can either type your information once and reuse it, or import it from an uploaded PDF/CV or a photo of a previously submitted application, so you don't have to retype the same details every time you apply for a job.
2. What data is collected
To do this, the Extension may read and temporarily process the following types of information, either typed by you or extracted from a file you choose to upload:
- Personal details such as your name, father's/mother's name, date of birth, nationality, religion, gender, National ID / Birth Registration / Passport number, marital status, mobile number, and email address.
- Present and permanent address details.
- Educational qualification details (examination, board/university, roll number, result, subject/group, passing year).
- The content of any PDF, image, or CV file you choose to upload to the "Import" feature.
- The visible form fields on the web page you are currently viewing, solely so the Extension can fill them in with your saved information.
3. How your data is stored
- All data stays on your own device. The Extension saves your information using Chrome's built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your computer.
- Nothing is sent to any external server. The Extension does not operate, and does not transmit your personal information, uploaded files, or form data to, any remote server owned by the developer or any third party.
- Text/OCR extraction happens locally in your browser. When you import a scanned PDF or image, the Extension uses an in-browser, offline text-recognition library (Tesseract.js, running via WebAssembly) to read the text. The image never leaves your device for this process.
- You can permanently delete all saved data at any time by clearing the Extension's storage from the extension's settings, or by simply uninstalling the Extension.
4. How your data is used
Your saved information is used for one purpose only: to automatically fill in matching fields on job-application web pages when you click "Fill". It is not used for advertising, analytics profiling, resale, or any purpose other than the autofill feature you control.
5. Data sharing
The developer does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information or uploaded documents with any third party, advertiser, or data broker. No user data is shared for purposes unrelated to the Extension's core autofill functionality.
6. Permissions the Extension requests, and why
- storage — to save your profile information locally on your device so you don't have to re-enter it every time.
- alarms — to reset the daily usage counter at midnight, local time.
- activeTab / host permissions (all sites) — job-application forms are hosted on many different websites and government portals; this permission lets the Extension detect and fill form fields on whichever site you are actively using it on. The Extension does not read or collect data from any page unless you actively use its autofill or import features on that page.
7. Children's privacy
The Extension is intended for general job-seeking users and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
