Privacy Policy — Ali Lens with Product Search By Image
This privacy policy explains how the browser extension "Ali Lens with Product Search By Image" (the "Extension") handles information. The Extension is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AliExpress or Alibaba.
What the Extension does
The Extension lets you search for products on AliExpress using an image. When you right-click a product image (or click the camera button shown on images), the Extension sends that image to AliExpress's image-search service and shows the matching products in the browser side panel.
Information we handle
- The image you choose. Only the specific image you right-click or select is sent to AliExpress to run the search. We do not upload any other images.
- Page links. On pages you visit, the Extension may add affiliate parameters to AliExpress product links (see "Affiliate links" below).
- Local search state. The selected image and current search state are stored temporarily in your browser's local extension storage only to keep the page and the side panel in sync. This never leaves your device except as the image search described above.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, address, or any other personal identifier.
- We do not track your browsing history.
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
- We do not run any remote/hosted code; all code ships inside the Extension.
Affiliate links
Product links opened through the Extension may include affiliate parameters. If you make a purchase through such a link, the developer may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change the price you pay.
Third-party services
Image searches and product pages are served by AliExpress. Your use of AliExpress is governed by AliExpress's own privacy policy: https://www.aliexpress.com/p/privacy-policy/
Permissions
The Extension requests broad host access so it can read the image you click on any website and show results. It does not read or send page content beyond the image you choose and the AliExpress links it tags.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
