ABOUT

The field of Alife yields tools, approaches and perspectives that have intrinsic potential to address real-world problems, but realising this potential and allowing Alife to contribute towards a greater good requires us to work critically, creatively and, crucially, collaboratively with other disciplines.  As part of the ALIFE 2021 conference “Robots: The century past and the century ahead”, this special session on ALife and Society will once again provide a forum for discussing issues that require us to “take a step back” and examine grand challenges for human social systems and planetary health.
