The lyrics starts off with Muneem discovering the personal belongings of someone dear to him, their treasure. He goes on to call it a debt as he is burdened by it, it brings back the memory of the deceased person. He has trouble deciding what to let go and what to keep, it is a difficult decision for even the items that he will keep will be in the shadows. By this he means they will be stored somewhere in a dark place, rarely taken out, and eventually forgotten about. In the last line of the stanza leading to the chorus, he calls out to the person on the other side, asking them with pain in his voice as to where they are. This is accentuated in the music video as he is seen pouring dirt in an empty coffin.

In the song, they are addressing the topic of death, which a lot of people even refuse to acknowledge, they not only speak about it but they wonderful portray the sorrow one experiences.
