I tried a couple of blog sites but I didn't really like how they felt, so here I am making another google site. I'd like to use this as kind of a public diary (though who's reading this anyways) to document my art (wip, processes, doodles etc), media related stuff, a lil felt collection museum, music I liked, OCs etc etc. Blog stuff. Probably fic writing too

I'm hard at work drawing 8 new pieces for the Wanqing & Zuo Le web event. As per my track record I started really late so yeah... despite the stress of my own doing, it's been a great exercise in pushing through and getting a drawing done without getting too boggled by my subconscious need for perfection. Maybe I should do this every month (i won't, but drawing a zine for planet hotline is on my mind again)
I'd like to print all this into an artbook/zine when I'm done too. I had promised (to myself) a finished fic for the event as well, unfortunately i won't be able to finish it, but i will finish it at some point

I've been into Sonic the Hedgehog again. I watched Sonic 3 last month (Dec 2024) and it made me obsessed with the series again; it's like i'm 11 again, and i'm having the time of my life !! I got Sonic x Shadow Generations, re-watched Sonic Prime with friends, and read the IDW comics. Next on my to-do list is to watch the anime and play more games, hopefully Sonic Frontiers goes on sale soon
i first saw ManlyBadassHero play Sonic Frontiers on stream; it was so different from the other Sonic games i've seen, but i wasn't into the voice-acting. (Also, there's no Shadow). But the music is sooooo good, fr. Find your Flame, I'm Here (the original and revisited), Undefeatable are genuinely some of the best songs i've heard in my life (maybe i'm exaggerating here but it doesn't matter). And Vandalise, of course, fuck the pain and all

This doesn't even include the non-vocal stuff, like lights, camera, action- but yeah, everyone should listen to every sonic song ever it'll change your life, maybe
also i played the new Honkai: Star Rail main story but i'm so sucked in by the hedgehogs i really don't remember what happened. it was fun from what i do remember, it's exciting to be in a new place and Castorice has a very good design
OCs
Revamped my sonic ocs from 13(!!!) years ago; Jewel and Crystal the Hedgehog.
the latter had some kind of dark backstory but i don't really remember what that was, so we settled with her being easily possessed (i think it's funny that there's always an oc like this in my media ocs - i had one for Sky: Children of the Light too)
i did think about changing Jewel's name, seeing as there's Jewel the Beetle in IDW, but it just feels wrong calling her anything else *shrug*
the basic idea is that Jewel is a singer-songwriter (she was always an idol-popstar) who writes songs inspired by Sonic and friends' adventures, but she often gets into dangerous situations trying to be at the scene to get the 'freshest inspo possible', whatever that means; Crystal is her friend who seems like she should be the voice of reason but she's really not, that job is Emerald's
I haven't drawn him yet, but there's also Emerald the Cat(probably); i enjoy trios, and it's a homage of sorts to my very first deviantart account
