marching band is over
I love school buses they are my American dream and today I had a row all to myself and read one of the most beautiful pages of literature of my life and on the way back I listened to all the songs I have been listening to on school buses for the past four years
goodbye to this suffocating activity and goodbye to the American school bus
said page of lit — "We held each other tightly for a long time, our bodies clenched in an embrace that included elements of love, grief, tenderness, sex and struggle. How subtly we shifted emotions, found shadings, using the scantest movement of our arms, our loins, the slightest intake of breath, to reach agreement on our fear, to advance our competition, to assert our root desires against the chaos in our souls." Oh

postcard for Chloe in cold, cold Providence...
today I move out of my childhood home. this is the same wall pictured in the very first image of my blog (see 2021). sunset and sunrise have always looked extra vibrant against its orange stucco, and it's bittersweet seeing it for the last time (for a while, anyway).
the perpetual root of my anxiety is that if I live through something and don't write it all down, all the memories and good thoughts will dissolve but the worries will cycle through my body and become trapped in it forever. and I will have to carry the weight. forever. ha ha ha

riding the trolley is free and awesome
for some reason I had a pretty extensive conversation with the stranger in the bottom right corner ? ? ? he said he was born and raised in Laguna Beach, and there is no feeling like being a teenager in southern California and listening to good music and driving a car or riding the trolley and being free. he also said fuck beachtown gentrification and called Steve stupid for not wanting to go to senior night at Disney. I believe everything he said
