Dr Ali Moltajaei Farid

Biography

I obtained my BSc and MSc in electrical engineering. I then developed an interest in AI. I successfully applied to undertake a Ph.D. in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University. After my graduation, I worked for private companies as an R&D engineer, primarily in the medical sector, in my industrial background. I worked on several robotic projects, including UAVs, UGVs, and robotic arms for different purposes. I have rich experience in different perspectives of PCB design, microprocessor programs such as CPLD, ARM, PIC, and AVR, and designing and analyzing electronic circuits. I also worked on intelligent algorithms to improve the quality of life in different industries, including smart homes, intelligent medical devices, and robots. In my industrial experience, I used intelligent algorithms for medical ventilators, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to help every person provide first aid to patients. I now hold a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Regina. My current project is to design a multi-robot system for precision farming.
