Abilities

Abilities - formerly referred to as traits, abilities are special skills an algo has that often have passive effects on activities or breeding.
This page details currently discovered abilities.

Some abilities are free to choose either via rank up, found via exploration or events, and some are limited-time rewards, or seasonally acquired.

Social: +1 Rp when depicted with other algolopes.
*When choosing this ability your algo is disqualified from choosing Loner as a future ability.

Loner: +1 Rp when depicted alone.
*When choosing this ability your algo is disqualified from choosing Social as a future ability.

Miner: A lover of dirt, your algo has a 10% chance to find an additional item when depicted digging in the dirt or underground.
Swimmer: Your algo loves to swim or splash in water and has a 10% chance to find an additional item when depicted in water.
Camouflaged: Your algo learned how to hide itself, lessening the injury chance for activities by 10%.
Herbalist: Your algo can sniff out herbs and gains a +10% chance to find an additional herb in foraging.
Junkie: Your algo loves trash, so much so that they bring it back home to share. Gain a +10% chance to find junk items in foraging.

Aggressive: Not every algo is the life of the party, when depicted with an accurate disposition your algo gains +1Rp.
*When choosing this ability your algo is disqualified from choosing Amicable and Anxious as a future ability.

Amicable: A friendly algo is a good algo, when depicted with an accurate disposition your algo gains +1Rp.
*When choosing this ability your algo is disqualified from choosing Aggressive and Anxious as a future ability.

Anxious: Something worries your algo, either sometimes or all the time, when depicted with an accurate disposition your algo gains +1Rp.
*When choosing this ability your algo is disqualified from choosing Social and Aggressive as a future ability.

Active Time*:
Diurnal: When depicted during the day, your algo's activity score increases by +5.
Nocturnal: When depicted at night, your algo's activity score increases by +5.
Crepuscular:  When depicted at dawn or dusk, your algo's activity score increases by +5.
*When choosing an Active Time, you may only apply one of the abilities to an Algolope, it will be disqualified from all other related abilities. 

Guide - This algolope can be featured in submissions past the regular limit, allowing an additional loot or result roll.

Popular - Art of literature of this algolope earns +2 Rp for all algolope featured.

Strong Bonds: Algolopes with this ability can be depicted in an art or writing submission prior to breeding to guarantee 2 kits in the litter. Submissions must depict both algolopes from the pairing and be accepted in the group to count.

Critterkeeper:  Algolopes have a 10% increased chance to find companions in activities.

Wildblood:  When bred, this algolope has a chance to show wild traits on it's offspring, even if it otherwise lacks those traits.

Dragonbreath: This algo has an elemental breath weapon, adding an additional attack in a dungeon, or increasing the score in Hunting by 10.
Type: Fire, Ice, Miasma, Poison, Acid, Wind, Lightning

Chameleon: Offspring of this algo have an increased chance to display Chroma, this chance increases if one parent displays Chroma.

These abilities are auto-applied at a specific Rank in Rank ups.

Mutagenic - 10% increased chance of mutations in breedings.
This algolope carries an unstable genome, raising the chance for mutations by 10%. Regression chance increases by 1%.

Coin Collector - +10% increased chance to find 1-100 random coins per activity. 

All that Glitters - Earn 1x Glittering Orb per 100 RP - Redeem [HERE]. 

Hoarder: Your algolope has a 10% chance to get an additional currency roll in seasonal events. 

Abilities that are exclusive to one algolope or first discovered by that algolope or otherwise obtainable only in specific ways.

Wildcard - Breeding with this algolope randomizes the genotype in breeding, resulting in wildly different offspring per litter.
