According to alleged reports on his death, Yasin Cengiz, otherwise famously known as the Skibidi dop dop yes yes guy, was claimed to have been killed near the southwestern Turkish province of Hatay in the recent 2023 Turko-Syrian earthquake.
Hoax or Truth?
The famous TikTok influencer who was born in Istanbul, which was not affected by the earthquakes, was allegedly killed in the earthquake. His fans (most of whom are not from Turkey), claimed on TikTok, YouTube, and other social media apps that Yasin Cengiz was killed in the province of Hatay, near the city of Antakya. Antakya was recently completely destroyed in the February earthquakes that rocked Syria and Turkey. Yasin Cengiz, was not reported to be in Hatay province during the time of the earthquake. Many news stations reported that he was not dead, though this has not been confirmed. Recently, famous football/soccer player Christian Atsu's lifeless body was found in Hatay province. Many are still reported to be trapped in the rubble.
