After COVID-19, the Ukraine conflict, and the rising gas prices, who is benefiting from this. It has to be the country who partially started this, Russia.
WHat about the west?
The United States and its allies had not known about all this, especially the Ukraine conflict. It placed sanctions, which did not affect Russia's economy, but actually the US and other countries that placed the sanctions. Russia had prepared for this from 2014 and knew their special military operation was going to get placed by sanctions.
Other winners?
Other countries that have benefited are China, which has defeated COVID-19, and Iran, which let the US stop its sanctions after its inflation rising. Iran has prepared for sanctions after the 1979 revolution and the hostage situation.
