Alex dos Reis de Souza, PhD

Short bio

Alex Reis was born in Brazil, 1995. He graduated as a mechatronics engineer at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), in 2018. He was a PhD candidate at Inria - Lille Nord Europe, under the supervision of Denis Efimov and Andrey Polyakov, having defended his thesis entitled "Control and Estimation Method for Microbial Communities" in September 2021.

Currently, Alex is a research engineer at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab - where he works on several projects related to aeronautics.

His research interests are robust control, state observation/system identification, and model predictive control (MPC).
