Alex’s career began when he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he quickly advanced to the rank of non-commissioned officer. He participated in several operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, supporting high-risk convoy security missions. He also assumed supervisory duties, ensuring the readiness and safety of his team. One of his notable assignments was a Permanent Duty Station in Okinawa, Japan, where he supervised more than 30 service members. His responsibilities included overseeing physical training and inspecting military engineering gear, ensuring his team's welfare and safety. His leadership and service earned him multiple personal awards, recognizing his commitment and effectiveness in challenging environments.
After completing his military service, Alex transitioned to the public sector as an employee with the Social Security Administration. In this role, he conducted investigative interviews, determined benefit eligibility, and navigated complex regulatory criteria. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he communicated effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring fair and accurate treatment for all.
In addition to his routine responsibilities, he made significant decisions regarding congressional inquiries and overpayment recovery efforts. He reviewed financial data, collaborated with attorneys, and issued decisions directly impacting people’s lives. His analytical skills and unwavering dedication to public service were consistently at the forefront of his work.
