Alexi is a fully trained spinto soprano, matured and ready to begin her professional operatic career. She is a natural actress with a voice described as “exceptional” by Mario Laurenti (who also trained Beverly Sills). Laurenti discovered her and has trained her since she was a teenager, urging her to be patient before launching as a professional.
Now, her time has come. Her didactic memory for music and lyrics in Italian and English make her a quick study, enhancing her considerable experience as lead in seven operas. She is a native English speaker who is conversational in Italian and highly trained in operatic Italian with some German.

I first learned this song for church at a young age, but, hadn’t sung it much in my adult life. I was in studio recording a CD and my pianist cancelled at the last minute. A Russian pianist was there recording before flying out to LA to be on the Tonight Show. He was more than happy to play for me, but I needed to audition for him. He picked out Ave Maria and I sang it for him. The studio workers thought it was so beautiful that they asked to record the track onto the CD. I hadn’t planned on including it, but I am glad that they talked me into it. Hear for yourself.
I added this to the CD to show how lyric my voice can be. This is the first Mozart song I learned and mastered. I really enjoy singing this piece because it reminds me of the first runs I learned and performed.
This is one of my favorite pieces to sing. I love Mimi’s emotion in this aria and it is very powerful to act out. I love the longing and aching as well as the pain involved in this aria. It is so operatic.
This is my all-time favorite aria to perform. I get lost in singing it and feel so powerful doing it. I would call this my signature aria because you don’t hear it very often and it is a high level of difficulty to perform. I look forward to singing this aria because what diva doesn’t love to show off
This is the first serious aria that I learned. This aria is important to me because it is the first aria on which I learned to emote. It is a fan favorite at concerts and is requested often. I hope you enjoy it as much as I love to perform it.
