Alexandru Predescu
I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, University Politehnica of Bucharest.
With experience in hardware and software development, academic research, and innovative projects, I co-founded LEPLACE GLOBAL, a tech startup that transforms local tourism with the most interactive app-guided tours based on AR/VR and mobile technologies.
I completed my bachelor's and master's studies at the Automatic Control and Systems Engineering department in 2018 and my PhD in Computer Science and Information Technology in 2022 with the distinction "summa cum laude". During my PhD studies, I was involved in multiple research projects related to smart water distribution and resource management systems.
My current fields of interest are at the intersection of computer science and control/systems engineering and include serious gaming, mobile technologies, geographic information systems, data science, and smart environments.
