Alexandrian News Is Back!

Ah, #news. A place of politics, discussion, and... garbage?

Yes, you heard that right. Recently, the quality of our articles in the #news thread has taken a turn for the worse. 

And we're partly to blame.

Alexandrian News has always strived to inform its readers since Plura72 founded it. Unfortunately, this has not recently been the case, as an internal quarrel caused confusion, uproar, and a public feud that has devastated the public image of Alexandrian News.

Unfortunately, an employee used several techniques to undermine Alexandrian News' reputation. This includes filling our internal news thread, which posts to #news, with irrelevant paragraphs which only cluttered and did not inform. For this, we are deeply sorry.

Now, you could read this and say "alright... so they're apologising." We prefer to think of this as a rebirth. We invite you to join us in this voyage to create better quality, informative news that will benefit everyone. Now, this isn't just all talk and no show. We promise to be better through:

1. The creation of this website which will improve our services by storing all our articles.

2. Important changes in ownership and leadership, with a new Editor-in-Chief, to improve readability and spelling.

3. Promoting strict oversight mechanisms in our Discord server, with extremely limited access to our Webhook (thank you to Paper News for alerting us of this issue) and a feedback thread to gain insight from our readers.

4. Careful onboarding of any future employees.

5. Competitive salaries for all journalists to promote high quality news articles that inform, not disturb or advertise.

6. We promise there will be no use of AI when we write our stories. AI-checking tools will be used in the editing stage to make sure we keep our promise.
