Welcome, Bienvenue,

My name is Alexandre Henry and I am currently the World Bank country economist for Benin, based in Cotonou.

I have obtained my PhD in Economics from Lorraine University in September 2019. I have graduated with a masters from Sciences Po Paris and École Polytechnique (MSc Economics).


My main research interests include: Macroeconomics, Applied Development Economics and Natural Resources Management.

My research portfolio focuses mainly on developing economies, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa.


I have worked with international organizations and collaborated on research projects about efficiency of public spending, structural growth diagnostic, impact of low-skilled biased technologies, firm tech adoption adoption, gender studies, financial development and international trade.
