Study course "Business Administration" (Betriebswirtschaftslehre) at University of Augsburg; graduated as "Diplom Kaufmann" with main focus on Financial & Management Accounting, Business Process Management & Organization as well as Law. Topic of the diploma dissertation was: State-of-the art information and communication technologies and their effect on controlling.

... about my person …

From the people around me as well as my colleagues I am assessed as open-minded and communicative. In fact, I really enjoy working with people and becoming familiar with their aims and interests by listening in a good and comprehensive manner. And what’s more, I am able to open them for new ideas and to obtain a consent in the event of existing disagreements.

Reason for my decision to study economics and IT-related business analysis at University and to refine my knowledge in Finance & Controlling and IT matters were my dedication for Information & Communication Technologies and my special interests in calculations & number crunching, supplemented by my ability to combine complex correlations in operational processes with business administration aspects. Today I see this personal characteristics as a major advantage for a successful engagement in the Finance & Controlling, Logistics & IT domain of a agile data-driven business organization.

... about my basic philosophy …

For me what really counts is the development of personal competences, not only in the job and at work, but in life generally. I am excited about new challenges and firmly convinced that willpower always prevails. Moreover, I believe that nothing can go really well as long as it makes no fun.

... about my attitude to work …

A target-oriented, structured and forward-thinking mode of operation is very important for me. This way of working enables a solid problem analysis and is the starting point for a creative development of solutions. My quest for acting independently and under my own responsibility, but simultaneously integrated in a knowledge-exchanging team, and my willingness for a lifelong learning are key elements of my attitude to work.

... about my conviction …

The internationalisation of economic activities that globalisation has brought, the increasing environmental awareness  in the society as well as the soaring digitalization of entire operational process chains have an increasing impact on the living and working conditions of people. All these changes are related to tremendous opportunities, but also new kinds of uncertainties. A new high performance culture which bases on values has to be installed in our economy which can meet the arising challenges. The success of a modern enterprise highly depends on the procedure and behaviour patterns, convictions and principles of each single employee.

My personal goal as a manager is to promote a working atmosphere of openness, creativity, honesty and respect for diversity so that everybody can contribute to the common success of the organisation in the best way.

... about my competencies …

With my ability to identify and understand complex operational procedures, to structure and channelling information flows plus to impart knowledge adequately I am in a position to model new slim, company-wide processes as well as to design and implement harmonized IT systems. Especially in the view of Lean Thinking and the therewith related aspiration for more added-value activities these skills are key factors in a company to optimize business processes in order to reduce time & cost and to improve quality.

During my 25+ year career as professional, project manager and disciplinary supervisor, I have been holding various positions in the area of Finance & Controlling as well as Information Technology and could gain wide experience in production and service related business sectors with private and public customers. To my profile belongs an expert knowledge in financial accounting & management as well as contract-, project-, process-, change-, risk- & working-capital management. Furthermore, I am highly skilled to implement Management Information Systems on basis of SAP technologies, and to work in multi-functional teams in medium-sized companies as well as complex (matrix-) organisations of a group.
