Hi my name is Alexander!
I am a Research Associate at the Professorship for Cognitive Sensor Systems at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at University of Passau, Germany.
I worked several years at the Computed Tomography Research Group at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Wels Campus. I am the holder of the TÜV AUSTRIA Science Prize 2023 for my master's thesis. I was also nominated for the OCG Funding Award 2022.
My research focus is on the interface between Visual Analytics and Immersive Analytics. In my work, I am involved in the research, development, and evaluation of interactive data visualization in immersive environments such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). My research also revolves around cross-reality (CR) or cross-virtuality analytics (XV), as well as location-independent remote analytics for abstract and spatial data.
I am passionate about all things related to scientific and information visualization! I love seeing how these techniques can be used in both real and virtual environments.
My current focus includes immersive visualisation of multidimensional industrial X-ray computed tomography (XCT) data from non-destructive testing (NDT) and cross-reality/virtuality analytics.
