Alexander Sistko

About Me: Since Fall 2024 I've been an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at SUNY New Paltz. Prior to that, I worked at Manhattan University. I received my Ph. D. in Mathematics from the University of Iowa in 2019.  

My current research centers on interactions between non-commutative algebra, representation theory, proto-exact categories, and mathematics over hyperstructures (including the so-called "field with one element"). In addition, I am interested in finding opportunities for undergraduates to participate in my work. My teaching experience spans all levels of the undergraduate curriculum as well as select experience with masters-level courses.
