The student will analyse and categorise usability and accessibility problems of Sri Lankan government websites, looking for recurring usability and accessibility problems.
Governments have been adopting Internet as a channel to introduce their services as well as provide helpful information to their citizens, businesses, other public sectors and interested parties. The student will analyse the common approaches to measure the efficacy of Sri Lankan E-government website(s).
Developing countries are yet to realize the full potential of e-Government initiatives. The student taking this thesis will examine the requirements for effective usability of eGovernment services using a quantitative survey. The requirements were then used to design a framework that would guide the effective usability of e-government services in developing countries.

The student taking this thesis will focus on investigating malware and spam targeting Websites. The thesis will include a review of the new types of malware and spam that have been appearing in the last years and will investigate countermeasures. As practical component of this thesis, the student will develop a prototype software for collaborative web spam filtering (having a role similar to the one of pyzor for email spam).
