Alessio Cangini

Since August 2022, I am a PhD Student in Mathematics at the University of Basel under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Philipp Habegger. I am part of the Number Theory Group and a member of the Swiss Doctoral Program in Mathematics.

My research interest focuses on number theory, in particular on arithmetic dynamics. I am interested in  the dynamical Lehmer conjecture and in the arithmetic properties of the Mandelbrot set and its generalizations.

From January 2023 to June 2024, I co-organised the Graduate Seminar Bernoullis Tafelrunde.
