I am Associate Professor at the University School for Advanced Studies Pavia (IUSS) and former Researcher (RTD-A) at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pavia, where I taught Economic Policy.
My main research interests are in Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, and Economic Simulations. I am the scientific coordinator of the Evolutionary Economic Simulation research area of the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy. I taught courses and labs on macroeconomic Agent Based and Stock Flow Consistent Modeling in several PhD Programs, international Summer Schools and workshops. I am editor of the textbook “Economics with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents: a Practical Guide to Agent-Based Modeling” (Springer eds.). With Dr. Antoine Godin (French Agency for Development ), I am the developer of the JMAB (Java Macro Agent Based) Simulation Tool kit.
My articles have been published on several international peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Economic Dynamics & Control, Industrial and Corporate Change, and the Journal of Economic Behaviour & Organization.
