ALBERTO ANGUREL ANDRES

I am a second year PhD candidate in Mathematics working under the supervision of Christian Wuthrich at the University of Nottingham.

Previously, I did a double BSc in Mathematics and Physics at the Complutense University of Madrid and a MSc in Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Madrid. I wrote my thesis about Mazur's Control Theorem, under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Macias Castillo.

My research interests are in algebraic number theory and arithmetic geometry.

In particular, I'm studying the Galois module structure of the Mordell-Weil and the Tate-Shafarevich groups of elliptic curves using some analytic quantities known as Kurihara numbers.
