Dr. Lindsay LeBlanc
Dept of Physics, University of Alberta

Lindsay LeBlanc (she/her) is an experimental atomic physicist working with ultracold atoms and quantum technologies. Lindsay earned her BSc in Engineering Physics from the University of Alberta in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Toronto in 2011, after which she joined the Joint Quantum Institute in Maryland as a postdoctoral fellow. Lindsay returned to join the University of Alberta in 2013, where she is Canada Research Chair in Ultracold Quantum Gases and Associate Professor in Physics

Dr. John Donahue

Senior Manager of Scientific Outreach
Institute for Quantum Computing
University of Waterloo

John Donohue is the Senior Manager of Scientific Outreach at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), a research institute at the University of Waterloo. He is responsible for making quantum information science accessible, including developing curriculum-appropriate materials for educators. John earned his PhD from the University of Waterloo in 2016 for work in quantum optics with entangled photon pairs.

Dr. Joseph Maciejko

Dept of Physics, University of Alberta

Joseph Maciejko is  a condensed matter theorist primarily interested in emergent phenomena in quantum many-body systems, with a focus on topological phases of matter.

His research is currently funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada, the Canada Research Chairs (CRC) program, the New Frontiers in Resarch Fund (NFRF), and the Collaborative Research Group (CRG) program of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS). He is a member of the Theoretical Physics Institute (TPI) at the University of Alberta, and an affiliate of the Perimeter Institute.
