Al Bait Al Iraqi in Cleveland is a non-profit dedicated to promoting and preserving Iraqi culture among the diaspora in Northeast Ohio.
Our long term goal is to build a cultural garden in Cleveland for Iraq.
Our mission is to support the Iraqi-American community in Northeast Ohio by ensuring that our cherished traditions and values are celebrated, preserved, and passed onto future generations. Through cultural expression and appreciation, we create opportunities for the community to engage, connect, and share the richness of our heritage, fostering a deeper understanding and pride in our collective identity within a safe environment.
Our vision is to build a vibrant and unified community where the beauty and richness of Iraqi heritage is celebrated and cherished by all. We aspire to create an inclusive space where every individual feels welcomed, valued and inspired to contribute.
Through cultural and artistic expression, we will ignite creativity, elevate the voices of our community members, and foster mutual respect and understanding.
Together, we will weave a legacy of pride, unity, and collaboration that strengthens the bonds within our diverse community. By providing a safe and supportive environment, we are not only preserving our cherished traditions but also empowering future generations to carry forward the spirit of Iraqi culture with pride and passion.
Our current programs:
At Al Bait Al Iraqi, we believe in honoring our seniors. Through our Taisyara program, we organize biweekly social visits to senior members of our community. These visits aim to build strong intergenerational bonds, reduce loneliness, uplift their spirits, and remind them that they are deeply loved and valued.
Monthly Cultural & Art Events
Join us every fourth Saturday of the month from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rocky River Public Library for a celebration of Iraqi culture through art, music, and community. These events are free and open to everyone, designed to showcase the richness of our heritage and bring people together in a welcoming space.

As proud Iraqi Americans living in Cleveland, we cherish the opportunity to contribute to this beautiful city that we now call home. We carry with us a culture rich in history, art, and heritage, and we believe it deserves to be seen, shared, and celebrated.
Every year, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation hosts One World Day, a joyful celebration of the city’s incredible diversity. Flags are raised, cultures are shared, and communities come together in harmony. While many nations are represented in these beautiful gardens, Iraq has yet to take its place.
That’s why we are working on establishing the first Iraqi Cultural Garden as part of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation—a peaceful, welcoming space that tells our story, honors our heritage, and proudly raises the Iraqi flag alongside others in this great city.
This garden will serve year-round as a symbol of our presence, our pride, and our contributions. It will be a place where future generations can feel seen, connected, and proud of who they are and where they come from.
Through Al Bait Al Iraqi, we’ve come together as a community, to celebrate our roots, support one another, and strengthen our connection to Cleveland. Now, we invite you to join us in making this dream a reality.
Your support can help raise the Iraqi flag in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, where it truly belongs.
Annual Flag Ceremony – One World Day
Every 4th Sunday of August, proudly takes part in the unforgettable One World Day at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens.
We join a beautiful celebration of unity and diversity, where we march with pride in the Parade of Nations, carrying the Iraqi flag high and strong. It's a powerful and emotional moment — a chance to honor our roots, celebrate our culture, and share the spirit of Iraq with the world.
We invite you to walk with us, cheer with us, and be part of this special day that brings together people of all backgrounds in joy, respect, and pride.
