Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
This privacy policy describes how AlarmForce ("we", "our", "the app") handles your information. We take your privacy seriously and want to be transparent about what data is involved when you use our app.
1. Data We Collect
Data you provide
When you use AlarmForce, you create alarms and configure settings. This includes alarm names, times, repeat schedules, sound preferences, volume settings, flashlight preferences, CAPTCHA difficulty, and your chosen language. All of this data is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to it and it never leaves your phone.
Data collected automatically
AlarmForce itself does not collect any personal data, usage statistics, analytics, or telemetry. We do not track how you use the app.
Data collected by third parties
AlarmForce displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect certain information from your device, including:
- Advertising ID (a resettable identifier on your device)
- Device information (model, operating system version, screen size)
- IP address (used to estimate general location for relevant ads)
- Ad interaction data (whether you viewed or clicked an ad)
This data is collected and processed by Google according to their own privacy policy. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
2. How Your Data Is Stored
All alarm data and app settings are stored in your device's private app storage using Android SharedPreferences. This storage is encrypted by the operating system and is not accessible to other apps. No data is stored on external servers.
3. Permissions We Use
AlarmForce requests the following permissions, each necessary for core functionality:
- Notifications: To alert you when an alarm or timer goes off
- Exact Alarms: To trigger alarms at the precise time you set
- Wake Lock: To keep the device awake while an alarm is active
- Vibration: To vibrate the device as part of the alarm
- Flashlight: To activate the camera flash as a visual alert
- Foreground Service: To play the alarm sound reliably in the background
- Boot Completed: To restore your alarms after a device restart
- Read Audio Files: To let you pick custom audio files from your device as alarm sounds
- Full Screen Intent: To display the alarm screen over the lock screen
- Internet: To load and display advertisements
We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other sensitive data beyond what is listed above.
4. Advertising
AlarmForce is a free app supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. You may see personalized ads based on your interests, or non-personalized ads if you opt out of ad personalization.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your ad preferences at any time through your device's advertising settings or when prompted by the consent dialog in the app.
To opt out of personalized advertising, go to your device Settings, then Privacy, then Ads, and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID".
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with anyone. The only third party that receives data from the app is Google, through the AdMob advertising SDK, as described in section 4. We have no access to the data Google collects.
6. Data Retention
Your alarm data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall AlarmForce, all locally stored data is automatically deleted by the Android operating system. We retain no data on any server.
7. Children's Privacy
AlarmForce is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or any personal information to function.
8. Your Rights
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:
- View and edit your alarms and settings directly in the app
- Delete all app data by clearing the app's storage in your device settings
- Remove all data permanently by uninstalling the app
- Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
