Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Alarm Clock (the "App"), developed by Siversky Donets, collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is an alarm clock with stopwatch, reminder, world clock, and smart alarms features. It helps you wake up on time, track time, set reminders, and view clocks from around the world.
We take your privacy seriously. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Alarm Clock Android app. It describes the information we handle, how we use it, and your rights. The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. All data recovery operations are performed locally on your device.
We do not collect any type of personal data that identifies you. Any information stays on your device unless you interact with third-party services like ads or analytics, which are explained below.
We do not collect any personal information from you. The App processes and stores your alarms, reminders, stopwatch data, and world clock preferences entirely on your device.
We may receive anonymized, non-personal data through third-party services (see sections on Advertising and Analytics). This data does not identify you and helps us improve the App, such as understanding which features are popular or fixing crashes.
No email addresses, names, locations, or other personal details are collected or required to use the App.
For users in the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Legitimate interests: To provide and improve the App, ensure it works properly (including handling alarms and reminders), and maintain security.
Consent: Where required for non-essential features like certain advertisements or analytics (you can withdraw consent at any time through device settings).
Legal obligation: When we must comply with applicable laws.
Since we do not collect personal data, most processing occurs locally on your device.
The App requests certain Android permissions only when necessary for its core features. You can manage or revoke these permissions anytime in your device settings.
POST NOTIFICATION: This permission allows the App to send notifications. It is used to alert you about alarms, reminders, or important updates related to the App's functionality. Without it, you might miss critical wake-up or reminder alerts.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: This permission helps the App keep running important background tasks without being stopped by the device's battery-saving features. It ensures alarms and reminders trigger reliably even when the phone is in low-power mode or the App is not actively open.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: This permission (also known as "Draw over other apps") allows the App to display overlays or full-screen alerts on top of other applications. It is essential for showing alarms or reminders in full screen so you can see and dismiss them easily, even if another app is currently active.
Auto Start: This permission lets the App start automatically in the background after your device boots or restarts. Some Android devices (especially from certain manufacturers) restrict apps from launching automatically, which could prevent alarms from working after a reboot. Granting this ensures your alarms and reminders continue to function without interruption.
These permissions are used solely for the App's alarm clock, reminder, and timing features. The App does not use them for any other purpose.
All your alarms, reminders, stopwatch records, and settings are stored locally on your device using secure local storage technologies (such as Room database). This data never leaves your device through our application.
We do not share any of your personal data with third-party companies, services, or individuals. Since all core data is processed and stored locally, it never leaves your device.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data on your device, but we cannot guarantee absolute security because no system is 100% secure. You should also protect your device with a screen lock and keep your operating system updated.
We use several third-party libraries to make the App run smoothly, look good, and perform well on different devices. These libraries help with internal functions and do not collect personal data from you unless noted.
AndroidX Lifecycle ViewModel (with Kotlin extensions): Helps manage UI-related data so your alarms and settings persist even if you rotate your screen or the App is temporarily paused. This keeps your experience consistent.
Glide: Efficiently loads and caches any images used in the App, such as thumbnails or decorative elements, making the interface faster and smoother.
AndroidX Room (runtime, Kotlin extensions, and compiler): Provides a secure local database for storing your alarms, reminders, and other settings offline. All data stays on your device.
com.intuit.sdp and com.intuit.ssp: These libraries help the App adjust sizes and text dynamically based on your device's screen. This ensures the user interface looks consistent and readable on phones and tablets of different sizes.
Firebase: We use Firebase to collect anonymized app usage data (such as which features you engage with) and crash reports. This non-personal information helps us improve performance and fix bugs. Firebase processes this data according to its own privacy practices. For more details, see the Firebase Privacy and Security page.
Lottie (by Airbnb): Creates smooth, lightweight animations in the user interface without using large image or video files. This makes the App more visually appealing and responsive.
None of these libraries collect personal information beyond the anonymized usage data mentioned for Firebase. For any questions about these libraries, contact us using the details at the end.
The App shows advertisements to support its development. We use:
Google AdMob and AdX: To display ads.
Facebook (Meta) Audience Network: To display ads.
These advertising services may collect certain device information (such as advertising ID, device type, and general usage data) to show relevant ads. This data is handled by the ad providers according to their policies and is not personal data collected by us.
We also use Firebase Analytics for anonymized insights into how people use the App (feature engagement and crash reports). This helps us improve the experience for everyone.
For more information:
Google Advertising policies and privacy: See Google Privacy Policy.
Meta (Facebook) privacy practices: See Meta Privacy Policy.
You can limit personalized ads through your device settings (Google Ads settings or Facebook settings).
The App itself does not use cookies because it is a mobile application. However, the third-party advertising and analytics services (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and Firebase) may use similar technologies such as device identifiers or SDK-based tracking on their side. These are governed by the providers' own policies, linked above.
We do not collect or process any personal data that can identify you. Any processing of non-personal or anonymized data (for ads and analytics) occurs through the third-party services listed above. Your alarms and settings remain private on your device.
Local data (alarms, reminders, etc.) is kept on your device as long as you use the App or until you delete it. Uninstalling the App removes all associated local data from your device.
Anonymized usage data collected by Firebase or ad services is retained according to those providers' policies.
The App offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions for premium features.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your Google Play account settings. If you cancel, you will continue to enjoy premium features until the current billing period ends.
Purchase Information:
Google may share limited, non-personal purchase details with us, such as subscription status or validity, so we can unlock premium features.
Refunds & Cancellations:
All refund requests must be made through Google Play, following Google Play’s refund rules.
Third-Party Sharing:
We do not share your purchase or subscription information with any third parties, except when required by Google for payment verification.
All in-app purchases and subscriptions follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding any personal data (though we collect none):
Access: You can request a copy of any information we hold about you by contacting us.
Correction or Deletion: Request correction or deletion of your data.
Restriction or Objection: Object to or restrict certain processing.
Data Portability: Receive your data in a usable format (where applicable).
Since data is local, the easiest way to delete everything is to uninstall the App.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond as quickly as possible.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to know what personal information is collected (in this case, none by us).
Right to delete personal information.
Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell any data).
Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
You can exercise these rights by contacting us or by managing permissions and uninstalling the App. For ad-related choices, use your device settings.
Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), we honor "Do Not Track" signals where possible through device and browser settings. However, because the App is mobile and relies on third-party ad and analytics services, some tracking may occur on their platforms. You can limit this via your Android advertising ID settings or the providers' tools.
Any anonymized data sent to Firebase, AdMob, or Meta may be transferred and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. These providers apply appropriate safeguards as required by law. For details, see their privacy policies linked in this document.
We do not engage in or support any malware, unauthorized network access, or misuse of your device. The App only uses standard Android capabilities for its intended alarm clock functions.
The App may contain links to external websites or services (for example, in help sections or ads). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies before providing any information.
The App does not target or attract children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe we have received data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a court order, government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or ourselves. Since we hold no personal data, this would be extremely limited.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be changed accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us:
