General Membership Meeting Information
During the General Membership Meeting, held the second day of finals - Friday, May 31, 2019, we will review our AWESOME year in the AJRA!
Several important things will also happen at this meeting:
1) We will vote on any new rule changes for 2019-2020 AJRA Rule Book. Notice of proposed rule change is to be given to general membership, by written notification (see link below), at least 10 days prior to general membership meeting. Said notice will specify the rule change proposed and there must be 2/3 of general membership present to be considered by the Board of Directors, said vote shall be taken in writing.
Please review the following Rule Change Proposals set forth by the board for voting by General Membership for the 2019 - 2020 Season (You will be given a ballot at the meeting to vote):
2) We will also elect new officers and event directors for the 2019-2020 AJRA Board of Directors through a secret ballot system, and this voting will take place during the General Membership Meeting. Applications for Director and Officers positions will open during the April Rodeo (after Jemison/April 1st, since there is not an April rodeo this year) and close on the first day of finals. Voting will be conducted during the mandatory meeting on the second day of finals. If anyone is interested they must submit an application to the AJRA State Secretary by the deadline. We will not take nominations from the floor at our Mandatory meeting which will be held at the Finals. Alabama Junior Rodeo Officers and Board of Directors term of office will begin on July 1st of each year thereafter.
