Volumes I through XIV are the teachings of Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan as transcribed by his students from his lectures and talks given between 1914 and 1926. These are the books which have been most widely circulated.

In general, these papers express the same message as given in the more widely available books listed above, yet these may help to clarify certain concepts by expressing the topics in somewhat different words.

The original volumes of The Sufi Message of Inayat Khan (the "orange books") are out of print and are now very hard to find. However, there are paperback versions of the original set of "Sufi Message" volumes readily available from India (see the following Amazon, IndiaClub and Motilal Banarsidass links).

Many books have been written about our Prophet s.a.w. Many wrote about him with the intention of preserving their love with the power of a pen. Their devotion to Rasulullah s.a.w. was documented in their books and passed down from generation to generation.

The methodology used in this commentary book is intended to make Syamail Muhammadiyah more appealing to all. Hence, extensive research was conducted to present to the readers selected gems from a wide range of other books and references. The variety of quotes and texts researched and included are meant to enrich the content and provide non-Arabic speakers with access to even classical books and references that have yet to be translated.

To make the book more interesting, researchers extracted the quotes based on the subject matter of the Hadith by combing through multiple classical books and references covering a wide range of topics such as history, fiqh (religious rulings), commentaries, creed, tazkiyyah (spiritual purification), etc.

There are undoubtedly many more books that depict the Prophet s.a.w.'s life, personality, interactions, and brilliance. Exploring Hadith books and their commentaries, as well as reading the Quran and its exegesis, are both essential to expand our understanding of the Prophet s.a.w. His character, as Sayyidatina Aishah r.a. mentioned, was the Quran, which is a huge indicator of how we can learn more about him s.a.w.

One should also be aware that there are many more books of seerah (biography of the Prophet) that I have not yet read. If you have read another and would like to share what you thought of it, please drop a comment to this entry so others can read your recommendation.

That said, it is based on authenticate early sources. It strives for accuracy, and presents the differing versions of several accounts. To Muslims, this book is one of the best books of seerah, next to The Sealed Nectar.

One of the older books in the list, the book is still highly recommended. This book was awarded first prize by the Muslim World League in worldwide competition on the biography of the Prophet held at Makkah Al-Mukarramah in 1399H/1979. 589ccfa754
