If you want wireless over-ear listening for cycling, choose AKG K361-BT; if you need an interface for recording, choose M-Audio M-Track Duo. For a bicycle ride, the AKG is the more relevant option because it connects over Bluetooth and has a stated 24-hour battery life. The M-Audio is a USB recording interface bundled with wired studio headphones, not a wireless cycling setup.
• AKG K361-BT: Bluetooth over-ear headphones with a 3.5 mm jack and 24-hour battery life; the trade-off is that they are still over-ear headphones, not earbuds or open-ear cycling headphones.
• M-Audio M-Track Duo: A two-channel USB interface with combo inputs, phantom power, and bundled closed-back headphones; the trade-off for mobile listening is a wired setup built around recording, not Bluetooth.
• Choose AKG if wireless personal listening is the priority; choose M-Audio if you need to connect microphones, instruments, or line-level sources to a computer.
The AKG K361-BT is the straightforward choice if you want headphones for wireless listening at home, at a desk, or while traveling. Its over-ear design, Bluetooth connectivity, media controls, and stated battery life of 24 hours make it a self-contained option for music, videos, and other everyday audio. A 3.5 mm headphone jack also gives you a wired connection option.
For cycling, though, the key distinction is what this product is not: it is not a set of true wireless earbuds, and it is not described as a bone-conduction or open-ear model. Over-ear headphones can cover the ears, so they may not suit someone who wants to keep both ears unobstructed while riding. If your cycling choice is specifically the best wireless bone conduction headphones for cycling, this model does not fit that category.
I’d consider the AKG for a buyer who wants one pair of Bluetooth headphones for ordinary listening and understands that cycling is a less natural use case. Skip it if you need a microphone-on-ear design, a compact earbud fit, or an open-ear format for riding. The provided information lists media controls, but it does not establish a microphone feature.
The M-Audio M-Track Duo is aimed at recording, podcasting, and streaming on a Mac or PC. It connects by USB and supports two inputs, with combo XLR, line, and instrument connections, plus phantom power for compatible microphones. Its maximum sample rate is 48 kHz. That makes it a practical fit for someone assembling a basic recording setup rather than someone shopping for wireless headphones.

The package also includes closed-back, over-ear HDH40 headphones. They have 40 mm dynamic drivers and a fixed 2.7 m cable, with a 1/4-inch adapter for pro-audio connections. The interface provides a 1/4-inch headphone output and stereo 1/4-inch outputs, and a USB/Direct switch supports direct monitoring. Those are useful studio-oriented details, but they point toward a desk or recording space, not a bicycle ride.
Choose the M-Audio if you want to connect a microphone and an instrument, record two sources, or monitor audio while working at a computer. Skip it if your main need is portable Bluetooth listening. Nothing in the listed specifications suggests that the interface or its bundled wired headphones are designed for cycling.
• Best fit for wireless listening → AKG K361-BT. It connects over Bluetooth and also has a 3.5 mm jack; the M-Audio package is based on a USB interface and wired headphones.
• Best fit for a cycling-related listening question → AKG K361-BT, with an important caveat. It is the only wireless headphone option here, but it is over-ear rather than a true wireless earbud or bone-conduction design.
• Best for recording vocals and instruments → M-Audio M-Track Duo. It has two combo inputs for XLR, line, or instrument sources, along with phantom power.
• Best for podcasting or streaming from a computer → M-Audio M-Track Duo. Its USB connection, two-channel design, and monitoring features suit a computer-based audio setup.
• Best for longer sessions without a headphone cable → AKG K361-BT. The listed battery life is 24 hours, while the M-Audio’s bundled headphones use a fixed 2.7 m cable.
• Best for direct monitoring while recording → M-Audio M-Track Duo. Its USB/Direct switch is intended to let you monitor input without latency from the computer.
• Best for switching between Bluetooth and a wired headphone connection → AKG K361-BT. It supports both Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm jack; the M-Audio headphones connect by cable.
• Best for keeping a compact recording setup in one package → M-Audio M-Track Duo. It combines a USB interface and closed-back headphones, but that bundle is for audio work rather than cycling.
The phrase “best with microphone on ear headphones for cycling” describes a specific kind of product that neither listing clearly provides. The AKG information mentions media controls, not a microphone. The M-Audio package includes a recording interface and wired headphones, but its listed details do not describe an on-ear microphone for riding. If that microphone setup is essential, neither is a clean match based on the available specifications.
The same caution applies to searches for the best true wireless earbuds for cycling. The AKG is wireless in the sense that it supports Bluetooth, but it is an over-ear headphone, not a pair of true wireless earbuds. M-Audio’s bundled headphones have a fixed cable. For buyers who prioritize an earbud or open-ear form, these two products do not offer that form factor.
I would choose the AKG K361-BT if I had to pick one of these for cycling, because Bluetooth and a 24-hour battery life are more relevant to portable listening than a USB recording interface. That is a relative choice, not a claim that over-ear headphones are the ideal cycling design. For riding, I’d first decide whether an over-ear fit suits my needs; the M-Audio is the clearer pick only if recording or streaming is the real priority.
It is the more relevant of these two for wireless listening because it supports Bluetooth and lists 24 hours of battery life. It is still an over-ear headphone, not a true wireless earbud or bone-conduction model.
The M-Track Duo is a USB audio interface for recording, streaming, and podcasting, with wired headphones in the package. Its listed connections and fixed headphone cable suit a computer-based audio setup better than cycling.
The M-Audio M-Track Duo is the clear fit. It has two combo inputs and phantom power, along with a USB connection for a Mac or PC.
The AKG K361-BT is the more direct choice: it supports Bluetooth, has media controls, and also offers a 3.5 mm jack. Check the current price on Amazon if that affects your decision; the product comparison itself comes down to wireless headphones versus a recording interface with wired headphones.
