Hello and welcome to my website. I'm an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have recently completed my PhD in August 2025 at Purdue University, where I studied Algebraic Geometry. My dissertation focused on a version of the equivariant RIemann–Roch theorem for equivariant line bundles on nonsingular projective surfaces over the complex numbers.
Below, you'll find information about my teaching, notes, upcoming seminars, and recent talks. Feel free to contact me at akafkas[at]utk[dot]edu.
