Aka.ms/mfasetup - Multifactor authentication is a security enhancement on Microsoft devices such as Microsoft 365 and phone that enables you to give at least two parts of the proof, or factors, to identify and yourself when logging into your account.
Setup Multi-Factor Authentication on Microsoft from aka.ms/mfasetup
There are three authentication choices available for Multifactor Authentication from aka.ms/mfasetup.
SMS Message: You will be sent a text message, including a verification code, when you try a sign-in. Enter the verification code given into the log-in interface.
Mobile Application Push: This choice starts a pop-up notification to the authenticator app on your tablet or smartphone to approve or reject.
Mobile Application OAUTH: The MS authenticator app creates a 6-digit verification code that updates every 30 seconds. This is helpful in situations where you may be in an area with bad cell coverage.
How To Activate MultiFactor Authentication ?
Step 1: Visit https://aka.ms/MFASetup
Step 2: It will ask you to log in via email address, phone, or Skype, follow-through
Step 3: It will ask you the authentication method, select phone authentication
Step 4: Then enter your country and mobile number
Step 5: There will be an option to receive a verification code via text message
Step 6: Upon pressing next, it will ask you to confirm the number by sending the OTP on the given mobile phone number
Step 7: Enter the code, and you are good to go
Why Should You Get MFA Activation?
If you often use your smartphone or work ID for important document storage and transfer, you need to activate this process via aka.ms/mfasetup. Similarly, many organizations provide a different work ID for their employees, and if the employees don’t have these multi-factor authentications activated, a hacker could potentially breach them. Personal users are less at risk, but if you have various credentials like financial information (Credit card, bank authorization, etc.), it becomes pivotal for you to employ Multi Factor Authentication. As a bonus, it can add security even if you don’t have much value.
