Amanda Harker Steele
I am a Ph. D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia. My research interests center on understanding the the economic efficiency and distributional equity implications of policies related to energy production and consumption across the United States. I am particularly interested in how public policy initiatives aimed at promoting the use of cleaner, safer, and more sustainable energy resources impact interactions between firms and households. I have a strong interest in energy economics, environmental economics, production economics, regional economic issues.
I am on the job market this year (2018-2019) and will be available for interviews at the AAEA Meetings in Washington, D.C. this August and at the ASSA Meetings in Atlanta this January.
