AI in Waves Workshop: Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Wave and Interfacial Dynamics
The Mathematics of Complex and Nonlinear Phenomena (MCNP) group at Northumbria University welcomes you to a two-day workshop focused on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the study of wave and interfacial dynamics.
This workshop is part of the activities of the Interdisciplinary Research Themes (IDRT), led by Northumbria University.
We aim to foster discussion and collaboration around the use of AI techniques—including machine learning, data-driven modeling, and physics-informed neural networks—in tackling the challenges posed by nonlinear wave phenomena and interfacial processes. With strong interdisciplinary expertise across mathematics, physics, engineering, and data science, this event provides a unique opportunity to engage with leading UK researchers at the forefront of AI-enhanced wave modeling, from microscopic interfaces to large-scale ocean dynamics.
