Avion Express, a Lithuanian ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) and aircraft leasing operator, was established in 2005 as Nordic Solutions Air Services. Initially, the airline operated four Saab 340 cargo and passenger aircraft. In 2008, the company was rebranded to its current name, Avion Express.
In 2010, Avion Express was acquired by the French investment company Eyjafjoll SAS. The company introduced its first Airbus A320 in 2011, marking the first Airbus aircraft to be registered in Lithuania. Over the years, Avion Express expanded its fleet and operations, establishing itself as a significant player in the ACMI market.
