This Privacy Policy applies to the AirBeam mobile application ("App"), created by Rathwa Anil ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use our App, particularly regarding device permissions and third-party services.
By choosing to use AirBeam, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.
AirBeam is designed primarily as an offline file transfer tool and media player. We do not directly collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers. The files you transfer, the media you play, and your personal files remain on your device and are shared only with the devices you explicitly choose to connect with.
To provide the App's core functionality, AirBeam requires specific device permissions. These permissions are strictly used on-device.
To function correctly (similar to reference services like Zapya and Xender), AirBeam requests the following permissions:
Storage / Photos / Media / Files: Required to read, display, and play media files, as well as to save files received from other devices.
Location Information: Required by the Android operating system to discover nearby devices via Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth. We do not track or store your physical location.
Camera : Used exclusively for scanning QR codes to quickly establish a connection between devices.
Network & Wi-Fi Access: Required to create local hotspots and connect to other devices for offline file transfers.
While we do not directly collect personal data, AirBeam uses third-party services for monetization and app functionality. These third-party services may collect information used to identify you, such as your device's Advertising ID.
Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may use cookies and mobile advertising identifiers to serve ads based on your previous interactions or your broader interests.
Google Play Billing: We offer In-App Purchases (IAP) to allow users to disable advertisements. Payment processing is securely handled by Google Play. We do not have access to your credit card information or direct billing details.

We value your trust in providing us your device permissions. Because AirBeam's core file transfer functionality operates locally (offline via Wi-Fi Direct/hotspot), your files are not routed through our servers. However, please remember that no method of electronic transmission over a local network or the internet is 100% secure. Ensure you only connect to and transfer files with devices and users you trust.
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information (for example, through an error or third-party service integration), please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
