The Cosori Lite 2.1 is a dedicated solution for individuals or couples who don't need a massive machine dominating their countertop. Its primary strength lies in its ceramic-coated basket, which is designed to be durable and resistant to heat damage while ensuring food releases easily without excessive oil. This specific coating is not just about non-stick convenience; it offers a healthier way to cook your favorite foods by allowing you to achieve crispy textures with up to 97% less oil than traditional frying methods. For someone making a quick lunch of hot dogs or reheating leftovers, this smaller footprint means less clutter and faster cleanup.
In daily use, the specifications point toward a very user-friendly experience for beginners. The unit weighs less than five pounds, making it incredibly portable and easy to store away when not in use. It features four distinct cooking functions—Air Fry, Roast, Bake, and Reheat—which cover the vast majority of everyday needs without overwhelming the user with complex menus. The noise level is particularly noteworthy, operating at under 48 decibels, which is quieter than other models in the lineup. This allows you to prepare a meal without the constant drone of a loud fan distracting from conversation or television.
The trade-off here is strictly one of capacity. With a 2.1-quart basket, this unit is optimized for single servings or small sides. You cannot fit a whole tray of wings or enough hot dogs for a party in one go. However, for the specific use case of preparing a quick snack for one person or two, the efficiency is unmatched. The lack of preheating requirement further speeds up the process, getting frozen items to a crispy finish in mere minutes. If your goal is simplicity, portability, and quiet operation for small batches, this is the logical choice.
Cosori Lite 2.1
This version of the Cosori Lite 2.1 offers the exact same functional capabilities as the red model but comes in a vibrant green finish. The core technology remains identical: a non-stick ceramic coating on both the basket and crisper tray that ensures enhanced durability and a healthier cooking experience. Whether you are roasting vegetables, baking a small dessert, or air frying a few pieces of chicken, the performance will feel consistent with the original. The 900-watt output provides sufficient power to cook food quickly, ranging from 170°F to 400°F, giving you control over the browning process without needing to guess.
The design philosophy here prioritizes ease of storage and handling. Because the unit is compact and light, it can be tucked away in a cupboard or left out on a small counter without feeling obtrusive. The touch controller interface is manual yet straightforward, allowing you to adjust time and temperature with simple taps. The dishwasher-safe parts mean that after your meal, the cleanup is minimal; you simply pop the basket and tray into the sink. For users who find the standard black or red appliances too generic, this green option adds a splash of personality to the kitchen while maintaining the same high standards of safety and efficiency.
However, the limitations of the 2.1-quart size remain the defining factor for this model. It is not intended for family dinners where multiple portions are required simultaneously. You might find yourself cooking in batches if you are feeding more than two people, which can extend the total preparation time. Additionally, while the noise level is low, it is still an air fryer, so some sound is inherent to the fan. But for those who value a clean, uncluttered workspace and a device that gets the job done silently for a single person, the trade-off of limited space is well worth it.
The Nuwave Brio Plus Air represents a significant step up in capability, designed specifically for households that need to cook larger quantities of food. With an 8-quart capacity, this unit can handle everything from a whole roasted chicken to a large batch of fries or a full tray of hot dogs in a single run. The interior features a PFAS-free ceramic coating, which has been tested to ensure it is free from harmful elements, providing peace of mind for health-conscious cooks. This generous size transforms the appliance from a snack maker into a primary oven replacement for many daily meals.

What sets this model apart in practical terms is the sophisticated control interface. It utilizes a full digital touch screen with a crystal-clear LED display, replacing older analog buttons that can fade or wear out over time. The interface supports 7 one-touch functions and offers 150 easy presets, including options for dehydrating, toasting, and proofing dough. This versatility means you aren't just buying an air fryer; you are acquiring a multi-functional kitchen station. The ability to adjust temperatures in precise 5-degree increments between 50°F and 400°F gives you granular control over delicate tasks like slow dehydration or high-heat searing.
The main consideration for this unit is its physical presence and power consumption. The 1800-watt motor delivers the necessary power to circulate heat rapidly through the large volume of air, but it also means the unit takes up more electrical capacity. While the Linear T Technology helps monitor and adjust power for consistent results, the learning curve for the extensive presets might be slightly steeper for a novice compared to a basic dial-and-timer model. However, for families or meal preppers, the ability to cook large volumes efficiently makes this the superior tool.
This iteration of the Nuwave Brio Plus Air maintains the powerful 8-quart capacity and the advanced digital interface found in the cream-colored version. The key distinction here is the aesthetic finish, available in a cozy blue shade that brings a warm, inviting tone to the kitchen. The internal cooking chamber retains the same Duralon Blue G10 Ceramic Coating, ensuring that the non-stick properties and health benefits remain consistent regardless of the exterior color. Whether you are cooking a quick dinner or planning a large gathering, the performance metrics do not change; you still get the benefit of the patented Linear Tech that adjusts power automatically for perfect results every time.
The user experience is defined by the clarity of the display and the intuitiveness of the controls. The cool white letters and numbers on the LED screen are designed to be easily readable in any lighting condition, whether your kitchen is dimly lit or bathed in bright sunlight. The digital controls allow for on-the-fly adjustments, meaning you can lower the temperature or extend the time mid-cycle without stopping the cooking process. This flexibility is crucial when dealing with varying food thicknesses or unexpected timing issues. The inclusion of 50 DIY slots alongside the 100 preprogrammed presets allows you to save your own custom recipes for repeated use, tailoring the machine to your specific dietary preferences.
While the capacity and features are impressive, the size of the unit demands careful placement in the kitchen. It is significantly larger than the 2.1-quart models, requiring ample counter space and clearance for ventilation. The weight also makes it less suitable for users who frequently move appliances around. However, for those who have the space, the trade-off is negligible given the dramatic increase in utility. You can prepare a complete meal for four to six people in one session, eliminating the need to cook in batches. The robust construction and comprehensive feature set make this a long-term investment for serious home cooks.
Nuwave Brio Plus Air
The deep blue variant of the Nuwave Brio Plus Air offers the same high-performance engineering as the other colors but appeals to those who prefer a darker, more commanding aesthetic. The 8-quart basket and the PFAS-free ceramic interior remain unchanged, delivering the same safe and efficient cooking environment. The outer material is built to withstand the rigors of daily use, combining style with durability. This model is ideal for the cook who wants a machine that looks as professional as it performs, blending seamlessly into a modern or contemporary kitchen design.
Functionally, this unit shines with its ability to handle diverse cooking tasks. From dehydrating fruit leather to roasting a large cut of meat, the 1800-watt power and advanced airflow technology ensure even cooking throughout the large basket. The auto-shutoff feature adds a layer of safety, preventing accidents if the cycle completes or if the unit is left unattended. The digital touch screen remains the central hub for all operations, offering a seamless interface that feels futuristic and responsive. The ability to customize temperature and time precisely allows for experimentation with new recipes, encouraging culinary creativity without the fear of burning or undercooking.
The primary limitation remains the physical footprint. It requires a dedicated space on the counter and should not be moved frequently. Additionally, the complexity of the controls might overwhelm someone looking for a "set it and forget it" basic model. However, for anyone willing to invest the time to learn the presets and utilize the full range of functions, the deep blue Nuwave Brio Plus Air offers unparalleled versatility. It replaces multiple appliances, saving space in the long run despite taking up more room initially.
Nuwave Brio Plus Air
This Cool Gray version of the Nuwave Brio Plus Air brings a sleek, industrial elegance to the kitchen while retaining the powerhouse performance of the 8-quart model. The ceramic coating inside the basket is identical to the other versions, providing a reliable non-stick surface that resists scratching and ensures easy cleaning. The exterior finish is designed to hide fingerprints and smudges better than lighter colors, making it a practical choice for busy households where the appliance sees constant use. The 1800-watt motor and Linear T Technology work together to deliver consistent heat distribution, ensuring that every item cooked turns out perfectly.
The control panel on this model features a touch screen that is both responsive and easy to read. The large LED display shows time and temperature clearly, allowing you to monitor progress without opening the basket and losing heat. The 7 one-touch functions cover all the essentials, from air frying and roasting to baking and reheating. The inclusion of 150 presets simplifies the process, guiding you through the cooking times and temperatures for hundreds of different foods. Whether you are making crispy wings or baking a small cake, the precision of the controls ensures you get the desired texture and doneness every time.
As with the other 8-quart models, the size is the most significant factor to consider. It is a substantial appliance that requires a permanent home on the counter. The weight and dimensions mean it is not designed for storage in a cabinet between uses. However, the benefits of the large capacity and advanced features far outweigh this inconvenience for most users. If you need to cook large meals efficiently and want a machine that looks modern and professional, the Cool Gray Nuwave Brio Plus Air is an excellent choice. It combines functionality with a stylish design that complements a wide range of kitchen decors.
The Cosori Iconic Stainless Steel stands apart from the other models by offering a premium build quality and a more advanced feature set. Constructed with a sleek stainless steel structure, it exudes a sense of durability and high-end craftsmanship that plastic-bodied units often lack. The interior features a PFAS-free ceramic coating, ensuring a healthy cooking environment free from harmful chemicals. What truly distinguishes this model is the integration of a powerful DC motor with five fan speeds, which promises quicker and more evenly distributed cooking results. This level of engineering suggests a focus on restaurant-quality performance for the home cook.
Connectivity is another major advantage of this unit. Through the VeSync app, you can sync the Iconic with your smartphone to control time and temperature remotely, monitoring your cooking progress from anywhere in the house. The app also provides exclusive guided recipes, expanding your culinary horizons beyond what the physical buttons offer. The unit supports six versatile functions, including Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Dry, Proof, and Reheat. The ability to reach temperatures up to 450°F gives you more flexibility for high-heat searing and crisping than the 400°F limit found on the other models.
The trade-offs here involve cost and complexity. The 6.5-quart capacity is smaller than the 8-quart Nuwave models but larger than the 2.1-quart Cosori Lite, placing it in a middle ground. The stainless steel exterior is prone to showing fingerprints unless cleaned regularly, and the app dependency might not appeal to everyone. Additionally, the 14.1-pound weight and larger dimensions mean it requires significant counter space. However, for the user who values precision, connectivity, and a premium aesthetic, the Iconic offers a level of sophistication that other models do not match. It is a tool for those who view cooking as a hobby and want the latest technology to enhance their experience.
