Machine Learning and Discrete Optimization 2018

1st Transatlantic-Transpacific Workshop of the ML Research Triangle

March 6th - 7th 2018 at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA.

This very first workshop aims to bring together key researchers of the three participating institutions in Germany, Japan, and the US to identify research challenges and synergies. A focus is on the combination of machine learning and decision making, in particular on foundational aspects of discrete and structured learning.

Organizers: Alexander Martin (FAU/Fraunhofer IIS), Sebastian Pokutta (GT), Masashi Sugiyama (RIKEN-AIP)

March, 6th: Internal discussions among Fraunhofer-IIS/SCS, RIKEN-AIP, and ML@GT [only open to invited participants]
