Nicolás E. Díaz Ferreyra

Nicolás E. Díaz Ferreyra is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Duisburg-Essen working on areas of privacy and cybersecurity. His research covers aspects of usability, risk awareness, access-control, and ethics in social media platforms. Particularly, he investigates the application of persuasive mechanisms and artificial intelligence in the design of user-centred technologies for privacy and security. Besides conducting his research, Dr. Díaz Ferreyra is also involved in multi-stakeholder forums for the discussion of public policies and Internet governance issues. Since 2020 participates in the United Nations' Roundtable 3C on Artificial Intelligence as an expert consultant. He is currently a member of the EU H2020 project “PDP4E: Methods and Tools for GDPR Compliance through Privacy and Data Protection Engineering”' and the coordinator of the Research Training Group “User-Centred Social Media” funded by the German National Science Foundation (DFG).
