Welcome to Advanced and Intelligent Materials Research.
Our interdisciplinary research team explores innovative solutions to real-world problems by applying science and engineering knowledge, skills, and techniques. We are a strong collaborative group working together from a wide variety of disciplines and integrating multi-dimensional expertise for our work.
Currently, our research is advancing towards utilizing advanced manufacturing processes, materials characterization, and data analytics techniques. Additive manufacturing (AM), commercially known as 3D printing (3DP) is one of the digitalized materials fabrication methods for producing parts. The manufacturing methods allow to production of complex geometric structure parts with minimal materials wastage. The application of the 3DP technique is rapidly growing and has an immense impact on the material supply chain dynamics. The research on 3DP cast strong attention on researchers and engineers across the world. Researchers are applying the technique in a wide range of applications in innovative ways. Aerospace, automotive, military, biomedical, textile, and structure applications - the technique is boldly applied for material fabrication.
Our team utilizes the opportunity of 3DP to understand, develop, and innovate materials. In addition, the group is focusing on applying data analytics and computational techniques for investigating different disciplinary areas, such as sustainability, green energy, and thermal insulation design and problems.
