Desiree Hils

Desiree lives in the greater Phoenix area and gets bored during the hot

summers just watching the cactus grow. With lack of shade she spends a lot

of the time tinkering around with putting her thoughts into words and art

trying to weave somewhat of a little twist to her liking.

Diagnosed with Depression in 1997, everyday is a struggle. Although some

days are bright there have been many dark ones that have clouded her

outlook on many experiences in life.

Medications numb and mask her feelings. Psychotherapy helps with speaking

the feelings but writing and art is the best therapy as there is no outside

interference.

Filled with the quirky, yet dark sense of humor within it has taken quite a

bit of time to build the confidence up to finally let loose her words and

paintings to let them run free and land as they may. Some of which are in

the process of being reworked for publishing.
